La Victoria: Reviews & Ratings
Undoubtedly one of the best Mexican places in Ballantyne. Service is excellent. Ambiance is pretty warm and vibrant. Good choice of draft beer and other alcoholic beverages. I wish I could say the same thing about food, but it is pretty good and can be better. And a lot of choices , including load of vegetarian options. Price and quantity is unbeatable in the area. My second time here with family so far, I am pretty sure we will be back.
I was going to gate keep this spot but the food and drinks are too good to keep it to myself. If you’re ever in the Ballantyne area give them a try. I have been to many Mexican restaurants since I moved to Charlotte 8 years ago. This has been my favorite. They are consistent every single time whether I carry out or dine-in. The prices are reasonable and the servers are all amazing.
Ordered carry-out. The sopa de pollo is delicious. This is what I always order when I’m sick. I just moved so I’m happy to find a place close by that has good sopa de pollo. Their regular queso dip is average. Can’t complain. The large is about $10 but it really is a large portion. I ordered a kids burrito and online it provides options to substitute sides. So I clicked on “substitute rice and beans instead of fries.” The online menu doesn’t really describe what comes with what and what ingredients are. So I clicked on the substitution assuming fries came with the meal. Upon arrival, my kids meal had fries. I showed them my email order confirmation and they fixed it right away, no hesitation. They even just told me to keep the fries as well. The employee explained how on their end it says fries and all meals come with rice and beans. So it was just simply a system issue. Hopefully they’ll fix it so future customers won’t experience the same. But overall, great customer service and great food. Highly recommend. Im posting the sopa de pollo, queso dip and the side of rice and beans they gave. They provided plenty of chips also- I just don’t have that pictured.
Best Mexican restaurant in Charlotte. My wife and I been coming here for years. Their margaritas are so top notch we actually created a baby that night and left her purse at the bar. Let’s talk the grub.. The chicken soup is fantastic (ask for the special hot sauce) my wife likes the fajitas and the Tacos.. Fire. Chimichangas are pretty clutch too. Staff always great and Vic the owner runs an authentic establishment.
This Mexican restaurant has some really good food!! & the portion size is amazing too, not to mention the price. I was visiting from DC and couldn't be more pleased with the hospitality. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. Our server was very polite and attentive and the food was HOT!! Especially my friends fajitas lol. My house margarita was really good too!! Highly recommend
Very authentic Mexican restaurant with dishes reasonably priced. We had the shrimp fajita and the burrito/enchilada/tamale combo. Each costs a little over $13. Both were delicious.
Food and service were excellent. Place was jammed up and we were able to get a table quickly. Service was fast and professional all around. Our server was very kind. Fajitas, margaritas, and salsas were great the Verde is a bit spicy if you want a little more heat. The dining room is very loud when it's busy.
La Victoria: A Mexican Culinary Delight La Victoria is an absolute gem for Mexican food lovers! From the moment you step in, the vibrant atmosphere transports you straight to Mexico. The service is impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff making you feel right at home. But let's talk about the food - it's simply mouthwatering! The nachos are a crispy, cheesy masterpiece, the burritos are packed with flavor and generous in size, and the fajitas are sizzling perfection. Every bite is a burst of authentic Mexican taste. And let's not forget the margaritas - they're the perfect complement to any meal, refreshing and delicious. The portion sizes are incredibly satisfying, ensuring you'll leave feeling both happy and full. Whether you're craving a casual weeknight dinner or a lively night out with friends, La Victoria is the perfect spot. I highly recommend giving this place a try!
